MINUSCA
United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic

Our Mission

Since its establishment in 2014, MINUSCA has supported efforts to stabilize the Central African Republic, a country affected by decades of crisis.

The Mission contributed to the signing of the 2019 Peace Agreement with armed groups and has since supported its implementation, notably by assisting local peace mechanisms and supporting disarmament and demobilization operations that have enabled more than 6,300 combatants to lay down their arms, thereby fostering peace consolidation across large parts of the territory.

MINUSCA also supports the extension of State administrative and security authority and has assisted in organizing several elections. The most recent, held in December 2025, marked a historic milestone with the simultaneous conduct of four polls, including municipal elections held for the first time in 37 years.
